Original language description
Mainly churches and crosses from all archaeological sources are relevant for the research on the process of Christianisation in Moravia, Slovakia and Bohemia in the time of Great Moravia. Summary, we have 23 archaeologically documented relics of churches and 3 mentioned in written sources in power centres - strongholds or manor courts. Less then 50 crosses are found not only in central agglomerations, but in rural cemeteries from late 9th and early 10th century in south Moravia and south-east Slovakia too.
