This book is a pedagogical guide, providing step-by-step illustrated instructions for the restoration of archaeological metals. It has been created for the participants of training aimed at enhancing the professional skills of restoration specialists from the historical and cultural parks in Turkmenistan, including “Ancient Dehistan”, “Geokdepe Fortress”, “Abiverd”, “Old Sarakhs”, “Ancient Merv”, “Kerki” and “Kunya-Urgench”. It is also intended for specialists from the State Museums of Turkmenistan and representatives of higher educational institutions. The trainings were held at the well-equipped Leon Levy restoration laboratory, thanks to the financial support of the Leon Levy Foundation, and the logistic help of the National Department of Turkmenistan for the Protection, Research and Restoration of Historical Cultural Monuments, as well as the State Historical-Cultural Park “Abiverd”.
