The system integrates the Archaeological Map of the Czech Republic (AMCR) with a digital repository, linking archaeological records, reports, images, and site data—some dating to the 1920s. Built on PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Fedora 6, and Solr, with Django and Angular interfaces, the repository holds nearly a million archival groups and hundreds of thousands of binary files. The team emphasizes the value of Fedora’s open, standards-based infrastructure for versioning and preservation, and shares insights on data migration, synchronization, and sustainable management practices that support long-term accessibility and collaboration.
