Wreszcie w kalendarzu? Tereziński obóz rodzinny w Auschwitz-Birkenau
Original language description
The article deals with the memory of the Terezín (Theresienstadt) Family Camp in Auschwitz-Birkenau. It analyzes the existing historiography and locates it in the broader context of the Holocaust rememberance in the Czech Republic and among Czech Holocaust survivors. Unlike in the Czech Republic, the Terezín Family Camp remains no more than a footnote in the general historiography of the Holocaust and of the Auschwitz extermination camp. The article discusses the challenges to the historiographic appropriation of a section of the extermination camp which is almost solely documented based on the testimonies of survivors.
