    Influence of toxic substrates of the abandoned sedimentation basins on chromosome apparatus of vascular plants

  • Original language description

    Differences in the value of the mitotic index (MI) indicated an effect of the substrates on the mitotic cycle of vascular plants. No increase in the number of chromosomal aberrations was observed, due to low counts of micronuclei in interphase cells. Clastogenic effect of the substrate on the genome of the meristem cells at both chromosomal and genomic levels was not confirmed. On the other hand, the impact of the substrate on the dynamics of cell division is beyond any doubt.

  • Czech description

    Klastogenické působení půd z opuštěných odkališť na genom meristematických buněk nebylo prokázáno jak na chromozomání, tak na genomové úrovni. Nicmémě nepochybný vliv na dynamiku buněčného dělení byl zaznamenán.
