Original language description

A summary of taxonomy, nomenclature, relationships and distribution of Luzula (sect. Luzula) stenophylla Steud. is given. A considerable range extension represented by two new localities of Luzula stenophylla Iran is briefly discussed. The two localities(a new species record in Iran) are found in the Sabalan Mtns, Ardabil Province, and Mt. Khash-e Chal in the Elburz Range, Mazandaran Province.
