Original language description
A new species Of Luzula sect. Luzula DC., known from higher altitudes of volcanic hills in Costa Rica, is described under the name Luzula ignivoma Kirschner. It is most closely related to the Chilean species L. tristachya Desvaux. New Central American country records of the species of the Juncaceae are also given: Juncus marginatus Rostkovius from Panama, Juncus hybridus Brotero, and J. cooperi Engelmann from Mexico.

Nový druh Luzula sect. Luzula DC., známý z vyšších nadmořských výšek sopečných vrchů v Costa Rice, je popsaný pod jménem Luzula ignivoma Kirschner. Nejbližší spojení je s chilským druhem L. tristachya Desvaux. Jsou také známy nové středoamerické záznamyostatních druhů: Juncus marginatus Rostkovius from Panama, Juncus hybridus Brotero, and J. Cooperi Engelman z Mexika.
