The monograph Sandstone Landscapes is a result of several years international collaboration among more than 100 authors from many academic and conservation institutions, particularly in Europe. It brings the first comprehensive overview of European sandstone landscapes (including attached map), their geo- and biodiversity (including relations between geo- and biodiversity) and about the role of man in a sandstone landscape. The book includes a glossary of terms specific to sandstone landscapes and a comprehensive list of references related to sandstones.

Monografie Sandstone Landscapes je výsledkem několikaleté mezinárodní spolupráce více než 100 autorů z mnoha akademických i ochranářských institucí, převážně z Evropy, a přináší první ucelený přehled o pískovcových oblastech Evropy (včetně přiložené mapy), jejich geo- i biodiverzitě (a vztazích mezi nimi) a o působení člověka v pískovcové krajině. Publikace je doplněna terminologickým slovníčkem a obsáhlým seznamem pramenů majících vztah k pískovcovým krajinám.
