Leaf and stem anatomy in Iranian Bolboschoenus species (Cyperaceae), as related to their taxonomy and ecology
Original language description
Anatomical characters in leaves and stems of Iranian Bolboschoenus species (B. glaucus, B. affinis, B. planiculmis, B. maritimus and B. schmidii) were compared in relations to taxonomical classification and habitat conditions of species. Some charactersappeared to be useful complementary distinguishing characters. Leaf anatomy reflected also the adaptation of species to permanent wetlands or temporarily drying habitats.
