Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi associating with roots of Alnus and Rubus in Europe and the Middle East
Original language description
Community structure of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi of Alnus and Rubus was driven by climatic and spatial variables, while host identity influenced the frequency of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal occurrence. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal communities from species-poor sites were subsets of those in richer sites, indicating nestedness and a progressive loss from the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal species pool.
