The aim of the article is to discuss in a non-technical manner the relation of possibility and probability. The domain of a probability function is a set of events - possibilities. A distribution of probability values among these events gives a quantitative representation to the possibility of a certain event happening. The article deals with the question if every kind of possibility allows for a quantitative probabilistic representation.
