Recenze historického prehľadu a fundovaného výkladu dejín analytickej filozofie. Sústreďujeme sa na myšlienkový sled kapitol ako aj na prekladateľské problémy, ktoré súvisia s viacerými oblasťami súčasného filozofovania. Hoci je nám kniha sympatická, nevyváženosť kapitol a neujasnený záver z kazia celkový príjemný dojem. Ukazujeme, že kým teória významu je v knihe podaná vynikajúco, ostatné súčasti anglosaskej filozofie ostávajú nedocenené.

Review of a historical and topical introduction to the analytic movement in philosophy. We concentrate on topical bridges in between chapters and also on translation problems that cover a wide range of terns in contemporary philosophizing. Although we largely approve the book under our scrutiny, we show that unbalanced chapters and a slightly misleading conclusion of the book make it worse than it could have been. While the theory of meaning is well represented in the book, other domains of the Anglo-Saxon philosophy are seriously underrepresented.
