The Limits of Political Liberalism and Public Reason

The paper deals with an issue of public reason, and analyzes its limits in John Rawls's political liberalism. The author of the paper analyzes the concept of public reason in relation to its democratic deficit on the one hand and its social deficit on the other. The deficits are connected with problems of social and political preconditions of citizens' participation.
