Innovations and Temporality: Reflections on Lévi-Strauss' 'Cold Societies' and Our 'Warming' Science
Original language description
Inspired by Claude Lévi-Strauss' analysis of "cold" and "hot" societies, I argue that innovations are not necessarily a factor of social change. In my paper, the emphasis is laid on the manner we treat innovations. It contributes to advance a more sociological way of addressing the topic of innovations and opens the question of the "warming" effect of the innovations studies.
