Embodiment, Oikos and Sharing Life in the Pregnant Body
Original language description
In this paper I analyse pregnancy as an experience in which woman and child, human body living inside another living body, share life in a very specific space-temporal embodied constellation. I wish to analyse the way how this special constellation affects the oikological dimension of human being. To do so, I will go through 4 steps analysis, each time concentrated on one specific concept and its relation to the phenomenological study of my own experience of pregnancy. First I will discuss 'insider knowledge' proposed by I. M. Young, second, I will speak of 'lucid embodiment' (N. Depraz), third, I will mention the concept of 'image of house (oikos)' (G. Bachelard) and last, I will present the notion of excessive nearness (G. Agamben).
