The Department of Analytic Philosophy (Institute of Philosophy, Czech Academy of Sciences) organized a visit of Professor Daniel Dennett to Prague in 0ctober 2017: it included discussions with members of the Department, an interview for Filosofický časopis (Philosophical Journal), an interview for Czech Television and a public lecture for wide audience. The lecture was based on his recent book From Bacteria to Bach and Back: The Evolution of Minds, and focused on the question: „How can billions of neurons, each as ignorant as a bacterium, cooperate to form a human mind that can know where Paris is, appreciate Bach, and solve scientific puzzles?“
