Envisioning Socialist Utopia: The Czechoslovak Program of Self-Governing Socialism
Original language description
The study is devoted to the program of socialist self-government as it was formulated within Association of the Left by the Czech philosopher Egon Bondy in 1968. The self-governing socialism was understood as the alternative to real existing socialism as well as an opposition to reform communist politics. The study sets the program of self-governing socialism in a broader context of the political thought of the time. Simultaneously, it analyzes its intellectual sources, especially the distinctive interpretation of Maoism.
