Slavonic and Czech Identity in the Chronicon Bohemiae by Přibík Pulkava of Radenín
Original language description
The study deals with two chronicles written at the court of Charles IV. Their authors, John of Marignolli and Přibík Pulkava of Radenín, wrote them on the emperor’s order and the study follows and interprets in detail how both authors work with the idea of the Slavic origin of the ruling dynasty of Bohemia. It also examines the political implications and contemporary context of both chronicles.
