The volume entitled The Hellenizing Muse is an unprecedented anthology of poetry composed in Humanist Greek from the early Humanist period until today. It encompasses all major European regions. Each section has a brief introduction on the development of Humanist Greek studies and on the historical background in the particular region. A selection of poems by the most prominent authors follows, provided with a critical edition, apparatus fontium and annotations about the author’s life and about the poem in question. Marcela Slavíková has contributed a chapter on the Bohemian Lands.
