The medieval household has long been a focal point of scholarly interest, drawing attention from medievalists across various disciplines, including social and economic history, cultural, intellectual, and religious history, archaeology, and art history. In 2001, the International Medieval Congress highlighted familia and domus as its special thematic focus. This session aimed to revisit this topic by exploring previously neglected aspects and sources related to the late medieval and early modern social and intellectual history of the household.
