Original language description

The article traces a dispute between the Old Town of Prague and the Charles University over the patronage rights of the Bethlehem Chapel in the 16th Century. Older historiography of this topic emphasized confessional aspect of this dispute (conservativeUtraquist city council versus pro-Lutheran University), but the interess of this study is concerned toward legal, administrative, and economical aspects of this issue. It regards also views of the parishioners, who maintained the chapel during the dispute.
