Paper analyses program and political attitudes of British (in this time ruling) Labour Party at the beginning of Cold War. In the first years after the end of WWII some of Leaders of Labour Party wanted ? as some other socialist Leaders in Western and Central Europe ? to go by some ?third way between Soviet Stalinism and American Imperialism. Under the pressure of events 1947-48 inclusive the Communist coup d´etat in Prague was labour Government forced to lean to unconditional political and economic cooperation with USA.
