In this paper we have studied N. rustica genome that appears to be composed of two subgenomes derived from N. paniculata and N. undulata diploid parents. We found that N. rustica genome has additive number of parental chromosomes and contrast to N. tabacum there is no evidence for intergenomic translocations. However, a dramatic reduction of copy number of a subtelomeric satellite family was observed.

Czech description
V této práci jsme studovali genom N. rustica, který je složen ze dvou subgenomů původem z N. paniculata a N. undulata. Zjistili jsme, že genom N. rustica je cytogeneticky aditivní, tj. že se zde na rozdíl od jiného allotetraploida N. tabacum nevyskytujíintergenomické translokace. Byla však pozorována výrazná redukce jedné rodiny subtelomerických satelitních sekvencí.
