In this work we have shown that expression of SOCS3 gene was stimulated by interferon gamma in most human melanoma cell lines while interferon alpha was largely inefficient in induction of this gene. The data suggest that melanoma cells might have altered responses to interferon alpha compared to normal melanocytes.

Czech description
V této práci jsme zjistili, že ve většině melanomových linií dochází k induikci genu SOCS3 po působení interferonu gama, nikoliv však interferonu alfa. Tento výsledek naznačuje, že signální dráhy indukující expresi SOCS3 interferonem alfa mohou být v melanomových buňkách porušeny.
