    H1-antihistamines are the most widely used drugs suppressing histaminergic allergic reactions. We tested the ability of 14 H1-antihistamines to modulate production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by phagocytes, myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity and their antioxidative properties were also evaluated.

    H1-antihistaminika jsou nejrozšířenějšími léky tlumícími příznaky alergických reakcí vyvolaných histaminem. V tomto článku se zabýváme schopnostmi 14 H1-antihistaminik modulovat produkci reaktivních kyslíkových metabolitů (ROS) fagocyty, myeloperoxidázovou (MPO) aktivitu a dále byly zkoumány jejich antioxidační vlastnosti.
