FGFR3 promotes synchondrosis closure and fusion of ossification centers through the MAPK pathway

  • Original language description

Article describes the effects of FGFR3-MAPK on premature synchondrosis closure in mouse models or patients suffering from Achondroplasia and Thanatophoric dysplasia. It appears that synchondrosis closure is accelerated by pathological FGFR3 signaling which may constitute a major complicating factor in potential treatment of Achondroplasia.

FGFR3 reguluje uzavření synchondróz a fúzi osifikačních center pomocí MAP kinázové dráhy
