Field programming in gravitational field-flow fractionation: a tool for fast and efficient separation of particles.
Original language description
Force field programming in gravitational field-flow fractionation based on modulation of hydrodynamic lift forces has been introduced. Gravitational field-flow fractionation utilises the Earth's gravitational field as an external force that causes the settlement of particles towards the channel accumulation wall. Hydrodynamic lift forces oppose this action by elevating particles from the channel accumulation wall. Therefore there are several possibilities to modulate the resulting force field acting onparticles in gravitational field-flow fractionation.
