Proteomics of mouse heart ventricles reveals mitochondria and metabolism as major targets of a post-infarction short-acting glp1ra-therapy
Original language description
The global proteomics was employed to interrogate the target proteins, organelles and biological processes affected by short-acting GLP1Ra administered after permanent coronary artery ligation (PCAL).This approach showed a central role for mitochondria and mitochondria-associated metabolic pathways, such as fatty acid oxidation, in the beneficial effects of short-acting GLP1Ra on postinfarttion remodeling. The overexpression of proteins identified by protein-protein interaction networks, such as Atp2a2, may be important to the mechanism of action of GLP1Ra.
