Microstructure of CMSX-4 single crystals after creep and fatigue.
Original language description
Changes of microstructure of single crystals CMSX-4 in consequence of creep deformation were used for explanation of experimentally determined difference between creep behavior in tension and compression. Two characteristic cyclic deformation features were observed after fatigue loading on specimen surface, namely short lines along the traces of {001} planes and persistent slip bands as long lines along the traces of the active {111} slip planes. Conclusions concerning the slip activity were drawn fromthe comparison of the observed features with the cyclic stress-strain response of CMSX-4 alloy.
