Original language description
The cyclic stress-strain response of a material determines the plastic strain amplitude an thus it influences basically its fatigue life. The experiments in stress and plastic strain controlled loading and short crack growth are presented and used to demonstrate the importance of the cyclic plastic response for the evaluation of the fatigue life.

Czech description
Cyklická plastická odezva materiálu určuje amplitudu plastické deformace a tudíž zásadně ovlivňuje únavovou životnost. Jsou prezentovány experimenty s šířením krátkých trhlin při řízení napětí a při řízení plastické deformace a je tak ukázána důležitostcyklické plastické odezvy pro odhad únavové životnosti.
