    Modelling of fracture behaviour of PP particulate composites on micro-level

  • Original language description

    The properties of the particles themselves (size, shape, material properties) can have a significant effect on the global behaviour of the composite. Generally, the addition of rigid particles to a polymer matrix will have an embrittling effect on the composite. The main attention is focused on fracture toughness values. The particle reinforced composite has been modelled as a three-phase material and numerically simulated on a microscopic scale using the finite element program ANSYS. The results of numerical simulations are compared with relevant results determined experimentally.

    Částice mají na chování kompozitu jako celku zásadní vliv. Přidáním tuhých částic dojde pochopitelně ke zkřehnutí kompozitu. V práci je studován vliv mezifáze vytvořené na rozhraní částice-matrice na lomové chování kompozitu.
