Estimation of ductility of Fe-Al alloys by means of small punch test
Original language description
The ductility of three Fe-Al alloys with different content of aluminum was studied by the constant-rate variant of the small-punch test. Fracture energy was determined by integrating the area under the load-deflection curve. The dependence of fracture energy on temperature differs significantly for different alloys. It is shown that the method can be used for an assessment of ductile-to-brittle transition temperature.
