Ab initio theory of the spin-dependent conductivity tensor and the spin Hall effect in random alloys
Original language description
Ab initio theory of the spin-dependent conductivity tensor of clean metallic crystals and substitutionally disordered alloys has been given. Its application to the spin Hall effect in random binary Pt-rich alloys revealed sizable spin Hall angles for Pt-Re and Pt-Ta alloys with compositions that belong to thermodynamically equilibrium phases.
