Analysis of the material properties in the vicinity of bi-material ninterface made by the laser cladded protective layer on the S960
Original language description
A bi-metal interface between S960 and either aluminium bronze or hard chrome is created using laser cladding technology. This ninterface is subjected to metallographic analysis, identification of real chemical composition, detection of potential stress nconcentrators and microhardness test HV0.5. Tensile strength of each type of layer is determined based on the microhardness nmeasurement. Several conclusions describing changes in material properties in the vicinity of the bi-material interface are stated.
