Original language description
Optical tweezers (also laser tweezers) enable non-contact fixing of position and manipulation with dielectric micro-objects in liquid medium (usually water). The optical tweezers completed with sensitive particle position detector are used as a photonicforce microscope - a device that enables studying of surface topology, medium viscosity in tiny volumes, and force interaction in piconewton order.
