    The micromechanical retention is the main principle of the adhesion of composite filling materials to enamel and dentin. The conventional treatment is usually based on the acid etching of enamel and dentin, rinsing and applying of the bonding agent. Thenew concept of the self etching bonding is based on the two steps treatment with acidic and crosslinking monomers. The acidic monomer (the selfetching primer) should dissolve the smear layer on the dentin surface, decalcify the dentin as well as the enamel creating the retentive pattern in it. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the acidic monomer based on the phosphoric acid ether acrylate can create the same retentive pattern in enamel and dentin as the conventional treatment with the37% phosphoric acid

    Práce se zabývá studiem povrchu zubního enamelu a dentinu v rastrovacím elektronovém mikroskopu. Vzorky dentinu a enamelu byly před pozorováním ošetřeny různými kyselinovými monomery. Kyselý monomer by mohl rozpouštět mastnou vrstvu na povrchu dentinů aodvápňuje dentin. Metoda leptání s kyselými monomery byla srovnávána s klasickými leptadly, jako je 37% kyselina fosforečná
