Specimen observation using various detection systems offers more information about examined object than using just one detector. The scintillation detector of backscattered electrons is particularly useful for semiconductor specimen observation. This detector can provide material contrast of specimen and defects in semiconductor structures can be recognized.

Pozorování vícevrstvých polovodičových struktur v SEM pomocí různých detekčních modů
Czech description
Zobrazováním vzorku různými detekčními systémy získáme o zkoumaném objektu mnohem víc informací než při použití pouze jednoho typu detektoru. Při pozorování polovodičových struktur je zvláště výhodný scintilační detektor zpětně odražených elektronů, který nám umožňuje pozorovat materiálový kontrast vzorku a tím, například rozlišit vady v polovodičových strukturách.
