Original language description

The production of electron guns for e-beam welders demands methods for objective verification of the specified gun properties. The paper deals with procedure developed in Institute of Scientific Instruments fot this purpose. The test include measurementof several electrical parameters like insulation resistance of the high-voltage assembly and over-voltage stress test. The integral part of the final check is an x-ray safety check at the highest beam power and acceleration voltage. The available beam quality is considered from a standard welding test and a beam profile measurement.
