    Despite the fact that MR spectroscopy (MRS) gives valuable additional information to MR imaging (MRI), the available software for clinical routine analysis of MRS data together with MRI data is far from ideal. The novel plug-ins which are being developedfor the software package jMRUI supports DICOM image and spectroscopy data format; a fully featured integrated patient/study/series examination browser; DICOM transfer using the standard DICOM network data transfer protocol; DICOM reporting of spectroscopy results, and transfer of these results into PACS systems; automatic projection of spectral voxels within automatically loaded reference image stacks; advanced display of spectroscopic SVS and MRSI data; absolute quantification of single voxel spectra;automated metabolite image generation and easy correlation of numeric image data and parametric spectral data.
