Comparison of the effective parameters of single-tip tungsten emitter using FN and MG-plots
Original language description
A comparison of the effective parameters obtained by processing the current-voltage characteristics in the Fowler-Nordheim and Merphy-Good coordinates for single-tip emitters was made. The tungsten tips were fabricated using of electrochemical sharpening method with sodium alkali. Statistical data of field enhansment factor (FEF) and emission area (EA) were obtained on the distribution of effective values obtained in real-time. An experimental technique is proposed for determining the shape of the tip based on the accumulation of statistical data in the coordinates ln(I-m/J(k)) vs ln(f).
