Civic Culture: Cross-National Assessment of Differences and their Changes.
Original language description
The presentation describes more of a decade of a systematic research in political culture which has been performed by the author together with Profs. Ivo K. Feierabend and C. Richard Hofstetter from the U.S.A. and with collaborators from countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Using theory of civic culture by Almond and Verba and a questionnaire of civic culture by Feierabend, the team accumulated a database documenting cross-cultural differences in political culture in Central and Eastern Europe as well as developmental changes in civic culture in the samples of Czech and American students.
