Original language description
Length of the period of seasonal activity, sex ratio, and abundance were studied in a population of Lacerta agilis Linnaeus, 1758 from near Opava in the Czech Republic. Lizards were active during four to six months of the year depending on sex, age, andyear of observation. Males emerged earlier from hibernation than females. In adults, both total and operational sex ratios did not differ significantly from a balanced situation. The estimate of the average population density of adults and subadults was73 individuals per hectare.
