Linear system solvers based on space decompositions and parallel computations.

  • Original language description

The paper describes a class of solvers based on the space decomposition and parallel processing. It reviews the construction of preconditioners and implementation of the preconditioned CG method on parallel multicomputers. The solvers are tested on the solution of a large-scale real-life problem with computations performed on a Boewulf type cluster of PCs.
