Original language description

Slope movements (activated after extreme rainfall in July 1997) have initiated significant morphological changes of terrain, the landscape infrastructure was disturbed in some places and vast damages were caused. The situation triggered a detailed geological, engineering geological and geomorphological research of slope deformations in the most affected areas and the investigations got also focused on extensive deep slope deformations on the summit parts of mountain flysch ridges.The research works brought a number of new lessons learnt, which enable a better understanding and appreciation of the role of slope movements in the development of flysch relief particularly in eastern Moravia. Our attention was concentrated on the localities with large slopedeformations in the the Moravian-Silesian Beskids ů Kněhyně-Čertův mlýn Hill ; the Hostýnské vrchy Hills ů Křížový vrch Hill; the Vsetínské vrchy Hills ů Bystřička landslide, Brodská landslide, the Javorníky Mountains ů Hradisko Hill.
