Result description

The flood of July 1997 was the most severe natural disaster in the basin of the Morava River in the Czech Republic. In the paper attention was devoted to geomophic changes in channels and floodplain of rivers found after theflood. In the paper a range oferosion and depositional landforms was described , e.g. chutes and crewasse channels or different kinds of overbank sediments along grain size. Attention has been devotes to next development of rivers after the flood, e.g. origin of anastomosing systéme.

    Povodeň 1997 byla nejextrémnější povodeň jaká postihla povodí Moravy v ČR ve 20.stol. V článku je věnována pozornost geomorfologickým změnám, které v korytech a nivách řek povodeň způsobila. Byla popsána řada dosud u nás nepsaných tvarů erozních i akumulačních z nichž lze jmenovat erozní výmolová a průvalová povodňová koryta typu chute a crawasse channel a různé typy povodňových nánosů podle jejich zrnitosti. Pozoznost byla věnována i popovodňovému vývoji řek, např. vzniku anastomozního typu říční sítě.
