Original language description

The article deals with an issue of spatial differentiation of livestock breeding changes in the Czech Republic after 1990. These activities are studied from the geographical point of view in relation with transition from the centrally planned economy tothe market economy with regard to the development after country?s accession to the EU. The first part is concerned with changes during the period 1990 ? 2001, when districts are assessed as basic units. In this part a special attention is paid to the changes in districts with predominantly mountainous and sub-mountainous natural conditions. In the second part, dealing with the period 2001 ? 2005, regions are basic spatial units. The last part analyses the changes in spatial distribution of livestock during the whole period under consideration and a future development of livestock breeding is discussed.

Článek se zabývá problémem proměn prostorové diferenciace chovu hospodářských zvířat v České republice po roce 1990. Tyto aktivity jsou analyzovány z pohledu geografa v souvislosti s přechodem České republiky od centrálně plánované ekonomiky k ekonomicetržní. Pozornost je věnována také období po vstupu do Evropské unie. První část studie sleduje změny v mezidobí 1990-2001 ? jako základní prostorová jednotka jsou zvoleny okresy. V této části je zvláště analyzovány okresy s převažujícími horskými a podhorskými přírodními podmínkami. Ve druhé části (období 2001-2005) byly základními jednotkami zvoleny kraje. Poslední část sleduje celé období transformace a zamýšlí se nad budoucností chovu hospodářských zvířat v České republice.
