Five different cutting heads designed for cutting by high-speed abrasive water jet technology were tested from cutting ability point of view. Straight kerfs were cut in several metal materials by abrasive water jet. Material removal volume was determinedas a measure of performance of specific cutting head. Quality of cutting surface was observed, too. Results are compared and discussed.
