Different level of fluorescence at Raman spectroscopy of selected clay minerals
Original language description
The study has been focused on Raman spectroscopy of clay minerals and the level of fluorescence observed in measured Raman spectra. Two specimens of kaolinite and four specimens of montmorillonite were used for this study. The specimens of kaolinite differ in rank of crystal lattice order; the specimens of montmorillonite differ mainly by cations present in their interlayer. Raman spectra of these minerals were measured by means of Dispersive Raman spectroscopy and FT-Raman spectroscopy. Major part of the measured spectra were significantly affected by fluorescence.
