    The International Networking for Young Scientists Event with Jenny Simanowitz was aimed at networking young researchers and establishing contacts among early stage researchers. The one-day symposium Gender and Science: Women Making a Difference? had a double goal of examining theoretical critical approaches to knowledge production from a gender perspective as well as the introduction of concrete support projects and programmes for women in science in Europe. Both events were organised by the British Council in Austria with the Federal Ministry for Education, Research and Culture and the governmental programme fForte.
