The joint conference of the Czech Presidency and the European Commission assessed 10 years of activities for women in science at the EU level and focused on how gender management enters into the modernisation process that is currently being carried out at universities and research institutions. At the conference the Czech minister of education conferred the Milada Paulova Award for life-long achievement in science to Prof. Milena Rychnovska in the field of ecology and sustainable development.
